If somebody wants to do something that ugly to their nice looking gtk
applications, then they are asking for problems. Anyway, I've
attempted a fix...

This is caused by font size differences. There are some assumptions on
the size of fonts just around there.

This is now in CVS, though with the modification that the vera
fontfiles are installed along with gnubg, since windows user might
need them and I wouldn't now what to do in automake in general.
