Hi,
two days ago the problem still existed. But some upload seems to have
fixed it. When I popped in a DVD yesterday it worked flawlessly. Since
HAL hasn't been updated I suspect it was the DBUS update that did it -
everything else was unrelated software.

whenever I pop a video DVD into my DVD drive (Plextor PX-716A), hal reports it
as an empty DVD-ROM medium. If I run "totem dvd:///dev/hdc" it can play the DVD
though, so no problem there. I've attached the appropriate hal-device output.
