The patch
https://github.com/dovecot/core/commit/3c5101ffdd2a8115e03ed7180d53578765dea4c9.patch
that Peter mentions indeed seems to address the issue. Could this be merged?
Thank you. The problem still persists here.
Hi Bernhard, Apollon,

Thanks, I installed the debug symbols for libmariadb18 and dovecot-mysql. And I
got a one or two more symbols:

Severity: grave

Justification: user security hole
Dear Maintainer,
while running dovecot with the mysql auth package, I frequently get auth
segfaults in the kernel log such as:
[51013.656961] auth[17706]: segfault at 60 ip 7f003b360a7
Package: openssl
Version: 1.0.1g-2
Severity: wishlist
Dear Maintainer,
when updating my sid system to fix the Heartbleed bug, I only updated the
openssl package from 1.0.1f to 1.0.1-g1, but not libssl1.0.0 for example,
leaving a number of services initially vulnerable until I noticed my mistake
Package: bind9
Version: 1:9.8.1.dfsg-1
Severity: normal
It seems that 9.8.1 requires bumping the libssl dependency up to 1.0.0. At
least after upgrading libssl from 0.9.8 to 1.0.0 rndc-confgen and bind9 server
startup problems due to "initialize dst library: openssl failure" were fixed.

I just applied this one to `apt-get source bind9`:

using patch -l -p1 < ...
since there seem to be whitespace differences.

Package: mediatomb
Version: 0.12.0~svn2018-6.1
Severity: important
Mediatomb should stop the daemon when you do an apt-get remove of the package.
It's confusing to see that the daemon was still running after the package was
uninstalled.
-- System Information:
Debian Release: squeeze/sid
APT
Package: courier-authlib-mysql
Version: 0.62.4-1
Severity: important
courier-authlib-mysql depends on libmysqlclient15off on amd64.
In the meantime, libmysqlclient16 is available on amd64 so the dependency can
be updated to use the newer version.
