Agreed. The screen-profiles-1.x series of packages has been superseded by the byobu-2.x series. I have just poked Reinhart about uploading byobu-2.8 to Debian, where this issue is fixed. In that version, the dpkg-diversion is dropped. Users of byobu will need to launch using /usr/bin/byobu.
