Unfortunetaly, I still do encouters theses bugs despite the upgrades that have
taken place since I reported them.
I'd gladly provide more info, but I do not exactly know where to start. Feel
free to ask specific details.

Hello.
The bug disappeared when I switched from xserver-xfree86 to
xserver-xorg. Of course, this is a *major* change, and I won't commit
myself to tell exactly what part of it solved the problem.
May be it was just something wrong with my configuration ; if noone is
able to reproduce the bug
Additional info' : I just installed gnome-terminal, and I cannot get its
background to become transparent.

Yes, the cursor is in the middle (default setting IIRC).
