I am willing to implement a patch here, but based on which data, available to
the backend, should the window class be choosen? Should we change the window
class, when that property changes?

Could you please try to drag files onto the NSOpenPanel? I remember that
Richard did implement this about two years ago. If this is not possible from
GWorkspace, we need to find out, what is going wrong between these two.
