sur5r reached me via IRC that he now had the time and reviewed the
package and did the upload of 3.1.0-1 so this is fixed now.
I will check how to close the bug later to make myself familiar with the

I just uploaded a 2.5.4-2 without the dependency as it is no longer
needed as you already stated.
Lets wait until the package passed the ftp upload and is in unstable

thanks for reporting! And sorry that it took me that long to answer.
To check if the issue is qutebrowser or webengine related usually we
suggest to try if the bug is reprodudcible with falkon (another browser
using webengine)
If the bug also happens in falkon its with webengine.

For me this issue still exists in kernel 5.7.0 so package version
5.7.6-1

the maintainer finds some time to
package the new release soon.
Until then just grab the sources from the repo and fetch the new
upstream sources with uscan, remove the patch and build it locally.
