Current flightgaer segfaults on all my machines.
I see the same behaviour on three different computers:
-Flightgaer windows appears
-data an scenery get loaded
-I start to hear sound
-The default plane/runway is displayed
-Within

With the current X and radeon/ati drivers the selection problem doesn't exist
anymore.
I used an older NVIDIA card with the proprietry drivers for a while without
problems.
I just re-installed my radeon card and the problem as described earlier is

Just some additional info.
Setting LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 will make blender work.
However since there is no 3D acceleration whatsoever, it will
be limited to simple scenes and the game engine/GLSL is mostly
useless.
