The same phenomenon persist in the newly released stable, Wheezy. The
version 3.2.41-2 on linux-image-3.2.0-4-686-pae still leaves the
screen blank and keyboard locked after resume from suspend.
Suspend worked perfectly with all Squeeze kernels, last similar
problems were with Lenny.

Actually, reverting to linux-image-2.6.32-3-686 brings X back to life,
with discernible error messsages anywhere.
Morale of the story: always keep a few versions of the kernel
installed, you might just need them...

Testing this with Canon PowerShot A80, and same behaviour, does not open
the camera but a mounted drive. With this particular camera and this
computer, import has worked perfectly before. I'll try to find another
