I have exactly same problem as one described by Tony. Reverting back nfs-common package to version 1.2.5-3 solves issue and everything works OK. My NFS shares are served by Debian Squeeze box and no server upgrade was done there. Exec flag in fstab does not help as well. Package: nfs-common Versi
