It seeems better, but there is still no display output to the HDMI screen via
TMDS1, mos of the Xorg.0.log seems ok, the xrandr output looks good
EDID seems to gather all the proper DDC mode lines
But the xorg server still spits out a few of these

It has a second display connected to the DVI output which stops woring after X

The problem is that the Volume splash screen never disappears
Also if I hit the volume buttons on the laptop I can see the volume increasing
but as I release the volume up button the volume status bar sinks back to zero
It looks like the machine is constantly sending
