Marco, tar doesn't document a standard for stderr. In particular, this
looks like a legit warning in either case. Please bring this up with the
software that is broken by it.

Hi Nicolas,
Thanks for your report. I will look into this one. There was a reason I was
reluctant to "upgrade" golang

Hi,
Absolutely. However, there are missing pieces for the puzzle (cni). This is
in the pipeline.

Hi Vincent,
I am going to forward this report upstream, but I find it extremely
unlikely they'd change this behavior as that would lead to
surprising results for others depending on the current default.

Thanks for the report Moritz.
As zhsj@ wrote bullseye atm has 1.20.2-1, which has the server packages,
instead of 1.20.5+really1.20.2-1, which does only includes that client it
was of course uploaded for exactly this reason. I will file a bug so the
correct version gets included in bullseye.

Dear interested parties,
I would like to express my appreciation for everyone's valuable input; the
time and effort put into this matter. I doubt there is much left to be
added as both sides argued at length.
Speaking from a technological point of view, I want to restate that I also

Hi Bdale,
Thanks for looking after tar for 25 years :-O
I would like to adopt & maintain tar. I am using some of the 'newer'
features at many sites that the current bugs are about, like remote
archives, zstd and incremental; also well versed in C. I have been a DD

Hi Elana,
Thank you for looking into this.
I've believed the vendor/ directory is thoroughly vetted, and I have also
checked every single directory, sometimes even files. I do not think there
is a DFSG issue here. Dmitry does not agree with the fact that vendor/ is
boundled in the Debian
Hi,
Kubernetes has a new maintainer now and the plan is to keep it updated :-)
New version is uploaded (1.17.4)
Please do not RM.
The bug can probably be closed.
Thanks
Apologies for that.
I have already uploaded a fix for this problem and it should appear in
unstable in a few minutes and in testing within 2 days.
In progress, sorry for the delay
