I also have the same problem. I see "unaligned pointer 0x4c12b6ea" when booting. After restarting 2 times I was able to boot grub properly and get into Debian.

After boot up "/lib/udev/input_id /devices/virtual/input/mice" is running at ~99% CPU until I kill -9 it. Doesn't seem to affect anything after I kill it either.

Another solution would be to have mount.ntfs point mount.ntfs-3g in the /sbin directory. Also my ntfs-3g is in /usr/bin, not /usr/sbin. Cheers, Jeff
