It should be fine to leave enigmail 1.8.2 installed. Installing Enigmail 1.8.2

I have the same problem in current Jessie Beta1 and Gnome 3.14
On Arch Linux with Gnome Shell 3.14 the icon is displayed correct.

I found the cause and a workaround for this bug.
The cause is, that blanking the display and switching off backlight is
done through 2 separate processes: gnome-screensaver blanks the display
and gnome-powermanager switches backlight off. These two are in conflict
when happening at the same time.

I also confirm this bug. When I try to sync the remote address book
nothing happens. No popup for entering user and password appears.

I found what was causing the trouble:
Support for network manager 0.9 (which is used in Wheezy) was added in
Gajim 0.15.2, but the Wheezy package is 0.15.1.
I tried 0.15.3 from experimental and reconnect is working with this. But
0.15.3 has other bugs: it does not connect to my Prosody server. It
