This looks like one of the problems caused by GNOME bug #362725, which was fixed
before the 0.12.0 release.

This was GNOME bug 575781 (in pygobject). I also added a workaround in
rhythmbox
0.12.1 that should stop it crashing.

Package: music-applet
Version: 2.4.0-1
Severity: normal
Recently, music-applet 2.4.2 was released, containing a fix for
a bug that caused the applet to use increasing amounts of CPU over time.
After a day or two, this had a noticeable impact on system performance.
Package: murrine-themes
Version: 0.53.1
Severity: normal
The gtkrc files for the murrine themes theme tooltips like this:

Hi,
I just noticed and fixed this problem upstream. The problem was
triggered by a behaviour change in libsoup 2.2.99. The relevant change
is:
http://svn.gnome.org/viewcvs/rhythmbox/trunk/plugins/daap/rb-daap-src.c?rev=4760r1=4725r2=4760

Hi Dann,
This bug looks very much like gnome bug #345449, which was recently fixed in
gst-plugins-good CVS. A quick test shows my gstreamer CVS build can
play the stream you mentioned, while the current debian packages can't.
enjoy,

Hi David,
In rhythmbox 0.9.5, we moved most of the command line actions to a
separate binary named rhythmbox-client, mostly to make them easier to
maintain, but also for speed. It looks like the man page
(which isn't part of the upstream source) hasn't been updated to match.
thanks,
-jonathan
