Hi,
AFAIK, there's nothing in that system that comes from amd64. I could
try reinstalling some package and see if that fixes the problem. Which
gtk package is exactly involved?
That would be libgtk2.0-0.

Hi,
I've built zsnes on amd64 and hence I can offer a patch that works for
that.
However it's downright unusable because the sound is so bad when not
using libao; we don't have a 32bit libao build available.

$ XSANE_DEBUG=32 xsane
I don't know if 32 is going to show something interesting or not, you
may need to bump that to 64 or maybe even more.
It's going to be very chatty (and slow on some things) from 64
onwards.

it will probably fix the xsane fax problem, I
suspect.
Indeed, I just ran into that issue here too. That'll fix itself up
with the new gs packages in a while.

You're so totally missing the point.
amd64 means exactly nothing to the world outside Debian. It doesn't
mean anything in the EFI world either.

Hi,
pspresent still depends on the obsolete gs package; that should be changed

I'm seeing a segfault in libasound when initializing the SDL sound

Please try ib32asound2 1.0.20-2 and tell us wether it works or not.
1.0.20-2 works fine.
