Bug#885149: Any progress?

Would it be possible that an Exim Maintainer could simply answer the question wether Exim will ever be build with SMTPUTF8 (SUPPORT_I18N, SUPPORT_I18N_2008) or if there are any problems preventing this?

Bug#672236: Uses non-existent in Debian Net::Lite::FTP perl package.
