It is an OpenType math font, the only applications in Debian that can
use its full pote
, but kept in
TeX tree and not installed where FontConfig can see it, like many other
fonts in TeX Live. Not sure what is the policy here, but it is worth
making one if there isn't already.

"apt" version used for upgrade from Wheezy to Jessie is 0.9.7.9 (according to
packages.debian.org).
t want this. It is already fixed it in git master
(the build system was rewritten using autotools), lets hope the current
"team" will not screw it by the time of the next release.

ut they don't want to make those headers public
(for the obvious reasons), that is why FontForge needs a copy of
FreeType source to access those headers. FontForge does not build a
bundled copy of FreeType.

There already a preference in Preferences → Generic → OtherSubrsFile,
that does exactly that. Pyhthon scripting has defaultOtherSubrs() and
readOtherSubrsFile(), the other scripting has something similar.
What is needed, I think, is a way to set a default OtherSubrsFile at
build time.

ble difference, looking at upstream
web page I see nothing that would suggest that, and given that the fonts
are autotraced from bitmaps I doubt the choice of splines type makes
much difference.

I use FontForge extensively I never encountered this, and generally it
is less crashy than it used to be. May be it is 64bit specific bug?
