Package: tsocks Version: 1.8beta5-6 Severity: wishlist Hello,
There is a patch to upstream sources available here: <http://www.totalinfosecurity.com/patches/tor.php> This patch causes tsocks to utilize Tor for dns lookups on non-multithreaded applications, eliminating leakage of dns requests on single calls. The patch applies successfully to Debian sources for tsocks IF the Debian patch "getpeername" is eliminated from the debian/patch queue AND debian/rules is modified to exclude "--enable-hostnames" Would a fork of the Debian package tsocks be necessary to include this functionality?
