Tried to use the -Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath= option, even tried
to add none or /dev/null after it, without any success. Maybe this option is
not present in the version in Lenny?
A few more information:
I have tried to find out exactly which file(s) it needs from xulrunner-dev,
and the surprising result is that creating an empty
/usr/lib/xulrunner-devel-1.9 folder makes Eclipse starting.

I can confirm this on an i386, I had the same messages as Marcos. I also
have an idea where those files in /usr/lib/eclipse came: when I ran Eclipse
as root, then instead of
root/.eclipse/org.eclipse.platform_3.2.0/configuration went into
/usr/lib/eclipse/configuration, amongst them the libswt-mozi
I can confirm this bug on a 64 bit Lenny. However, it only happens with the
new 2.6.25 kernel, when I boot the older 2.6.24 or 2.6.22 kernels on the
exact same system maxima does work as expected. I do not know maxima how
closely interacts with the kernel, the problem might even be in one of its
