s/usb/core/usbcore.ko . I tried
to link (symbolic and hard) to it from
/lib/modules/2.6.12-1-386/kernel/drivers/usb/usbcore.ko , but this did
not work.
I think the solution is simple: add
/lib/modules/2.6.12-1-386/kernel/drivers/usb/core/ to the search path of
bootcdmkinitrd.

ng. But I think, that a simple dpkg-reconfigure should be enough
without
deleting first some files. In my opinion, a note in README.Debian should be the
last
option to solve this behaviour, if everything else fails.
