Depending how busy the machine is, and how fast the user can type, one
can display a considerable portion of her password inadvertently. I am
embarrassed when this happens to me.
To fix this, I suggest not disabling echo at

I have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick. When I boot the machine
using the sarge rc2 kernel as supplied from Debian, the system
freezes. Some apparently-related messages are on the screen at that
time, but I'll supply everything I can see:

This kernel does not provide sound for the new Mac Mini. Others have
worked out a partial fix, and various lists give the following
suggestions.
The first possibility is:
= sound/ppc/pmac.c 1.36 vs edited =

5. Although the proposed change makes sound work, it does not make the
mixer work.
