I would have thought that make-kpkg would have taken care of
everything?? In the documentation it is stated that this package has
only been tested with initrd kernels - isn't this exactly what I have
built?

Instead I can find "/usr/share/kernel-patch-suspend2/init.d-script", but
I can't se it installed in my /etc or somewhere in the initrd disk.

Hi All
I tried the patch out on testing (etch?) and it seems to work like a
charm. The only thing I noticed was that apt-get build-dep din't install
libaspell-dev which I had to install to sattisfy dpkg-buildpackage.

For this particular laptop I couldn't get suspend-to-ram/suspend-to-disk
working with any other kernel than 2.6.11.4 - having 2.6.11 in the
Debian would make it easier to install Debian on this laptop
