I have the same issue running Gnome 3 - downgrading to 43.0.2357.81-1 fixed
the problem for me.

(with amd64 kernel) to build a backport for amd64.
I applied your patch and the build completed nicely.

I can see that many upstream versions have been imported into Git without
new packages being released. Let me know if you need any help testing or if
