I just updated to icedove 3.0.3 and the links are again not opening in
an external browser. The recipe that I found earlier is not helping this
time. When clicking on a link, the error console shows:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... Component returned failure
code: 0x80520012
When clicking on a link, this error message is displayed in the
JavaScript Error Console:

I get the same error message when starting 'sol'. I am running an older
version of the nvidia-driver (nvidia-glx-legacy-71xx
71.86.07-1+2.6.26-10). Here is my output of glxinfo:
