the original project homepage. However, the upstream code is now
available via GitHub and a new maintainer cares about patches etc.

The patch for this bug was accepted at bugs.php.net.
So this bug has been fixed in CVS of upstream.

I couldn't connect to an imap server which only advertises AUTH=PLAIN as
authentication mechanism. After having a look at the sources I wonder why
php5-imap doesn't enabled the necessary authenticator in c-client.
