I have this same result, with use_lvmetad=1 in lvm.conf. I think this
is a dupe of #774082.
I have an LVM PV on /dev/md0. I noticed that ID_FS_TYPE wasn't set on
it and that 69-lvm-metad.rules, which normally calls pvscan --cache on
devices, requires ID_FS_USAGE to be set to LVM2_member|LVM1_membe
I can also reproduce this on Ubuntu 14.10, which has a more recent libglib
version. The symptoms look very similar. I also sometimes have all the text
in an application disappear. Usually switching desktops away and back will
fix it.
So far I've only been able to reproduce it with Chrome running -

Dear Maintainer,
In System/Taffybar.hs, there is an example of DBus integration.
Following this example does not work with this packaging of Taffybar due
to the patch which changes from dbus-core to the newer dbus library. It

It'd be nice to have the newer version packaged. The upstream changelog

Charles Campbell, author of netrw.vim, tells me this is fixed in the
latest version of netrw, available on his website:
http://www.drchip.org/astronaut/vim/index.html#NETRW
I haven't confirmed this yet.

Will this package be upgraded to the newer, working version soon? It is
currently entirely non-functional.

Is it now Debian's policy to not support mailcap as a mechanism for
resolving MIME references? I can find no reference to this anywhere, so
I am puzzled by this regression. It caused Chrome to fail to open PDFs
as it uses xdg-open. This was very time-consuming to track down.

Downgrading to the version in wheezy (0.102-2) seems to work, so the bug
is in the new version somewhere. That also downgraded some other versions:
