Bug#887371: nemo: crash/segfault whilst manipulating files in a folder

2019-12-01 Thread N G
Howdy, Sorry for the late reply. Had to wait until the right kernel was backported to Buster (new laptop). Although it can become a bit laggy and/or slow, I am glad to see that crash is no longer reproducible in the stable branch (nemo-3.8.5-1). Tried aggressive stuff, like folders with

I don't own this laptop anymore.  I don't see anything productive about having this bug open in debian, since there's a few reports about this matter in kernel and freedesktop's bugzilla.

Just upgraded to firmware-amd-graphics-20190114/stretch-backports and nothing changed, therefore lightdm might be working with testing branch because of lightdm's version or something unrelated to linux itself (maybe mesa?), still, it used to work correctly with stretch until linux 4.18.20 (at

Few things about using 'amdgpu.dc=0' as a workaround for graphical glitches. I can't get any HDMI audio output (works correctly with the default parameters). On the other hand, redshift doesn't seem to be working correctly with 'amdgpu.dc=0' (cursor temperature remains at 6500K). This works

A workaround for this bug it's using 'amdgpu.dc=0'.  No more glitches for wallpapers, screensaver, or lightdm.

Some details on the lightdm/lockscreen issue. I just noticed that if I switch to tty1 and go back to lightdm everything is displayed properly, or well, that's what I thought at first, because when I tried to click something or even type, it was unresponsive, it's like a frozen frame,
