I believe it started happening when I installed some new Type 1 fonts. I know libfreetype6 < 2.1.9 crashes with these fonts installed (the bug is FreeType's not the fonts) so it may be related to the version of FreeType in OOo. Let me know if there is any debugging I can do at this end. --
