Bug#586243: no Sugar working decent in Squeeze

2010-07-03 Thread Omar Alejandro Silva
The package Educational-Desktop-Sugar in Squeeze is as buggy as the other packages of Sugar in Debian, activities don't start. After an aptitude upgrade of Debian Squeeze having Educational-Desktop-Sugar installed there is no more GUI interface to login with Gnome, Gdm doesn´t appear any more.

I tried yesterday all sucrose packages (0.84, 0.86 0.88) installed with dependencies from Debian Squeeze repos and Synaptic with Squeeze full updated and not updated. They work remote butFail to start most activities. I tried the same with sucrose package in Lenny, it did the same.

In Lenny I could have multiple sessions of Sugar with rdesktop but had to install all Sugar packages and the presentation of Lenny changed to Debian Edu. In Squeeze it changed too but I never could share Sugar with rdesktop. Accessing Sugar from desktop terminals or thinstations is important,
