I have a candidate package built to address bug 777013 (and so the associated
CVE).
I would like some testing to be done by other users to verify the problem
of the ax25-node program hanging on SIGQUIT has been corrected.
The candidate package can
to remember to do this in
the future so and update/upgrade doesn't pull MySQL back in.

Colin,
The question of using an external MySQL server is even asked and answered on
the cqrlog forum:
Hi
Is there any way to use an external MySQL database? I have a dedicated MySQL
server and I will prefer to store my log there.

Package: cqrlog
Version: 1.5.2-1
Severity: important
CQRLOG claims a dependency on mysql-server which forces the installation
of the complete mysql-server packlage on the machine you are installing
cqrlog on. Cqrlog runs fine with a remote mysql server, and correctly
depends on mysql-client.

Can anyone explain to me why the message I sent with a proposal
containing a MAJOR concession to the Node.js maintainers has not
received a response from the Node.js maintainers but rather caused them
(I'm assuming Jonathan Nieder is some how acting with their knowledge
or approval at some level)
Please note: there is already a package and executable in Debian

You renamed the package, but it still contains a binary /usr/bin/morse
/usr/bin/morse already exists in Debian.
Please fix this and rebuild/resubmit.

It builds fine in standard Debian. Debian is not Ubuntu.

Hi,
Jeff White was contacted in June 2011 asking him to relicence the code
but he didn't reply. This package should be moved to non-free.
How, exactly, does commenting on a bug report with absolutely NO

Looks like ax25-tools and ax25-apps have the same issue.
Thanks. I'll get the packages updated.

John,
The new package is in experimental due to the freeze.
Given the usual length of Debian freezes, I suspect there will be
several more updates to fldigi by the time there is a Debian release.
