I have been unable to fix this issue in Jessie. My glxgears worked and
glxinfo gave nothing suspicious, yet my .xsession-errors files were full of
glx related errors when I tried to start gnome. I have gone back to Wheezy
on this machine for now, because Wheezy works well on this machine and it
