additional info:
we currently discovered that the problem does have nothing common with
permissions, the problems is still there. It appears when vim tries to save
backup file (filename.ext~).
We tried running curlftpfs with -d and -o debug, the error appears after
function call RENAME. We tried

I was connecting to my ftp server (running debian sarge,
pure-ftpd-postgresql v: 1.0.19-4), after succesful connection, i tried to
list files in directory and open file with permissions 644 owned by
different user than me, file was in directory owned by me w
