Dear Maintainer,
inside [], '-' separates ranges, unless it is the first or last thing in [].
Ex : [-ac] means '-', 'a' or 'c', whereas [a-c] means 'a', 'b' or 'c'.
Thus [\-.] is a range (for example it matchs '[' or '@').
