Looking at the Ubuntu version of this file it seems that more hotplugging
is not working. They have added:

Could this be added to

Is there any chance of removing the ProtectSystem and

Dear Maintainer,
The file /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/netdata/plugins.d/python.d.plugin
tries to find the python binary automatically. On a lot of systems this
is Python2 but the packages install dependencies for Python3.
A solution would be to remove the
Hey I just cloned the git repo and noticed you forgot to add the patch
file itself.
It is added to debian/patches/series but the file

Hi Sander,

Hi Daniël,
The patch was rejected upstream since it wasn’t correct across all different
installation types. But since there was no consensus on how to fix this
correctly, it is probably best to leave this patch in the Debian version.

Hi,
I've submitted a bug report and a pull request upstream:
https://github.com/firehol/netdata/pull/3987
Sander
Just noticed this problem is introduced upstream in
plugins.d/python.d.plugin line 30 with commit
41d9f2b13022ca16cdaf320eac540a1b149a6da3
Not sure if this is an upstream problem or a package problem.

Hi,
I was wondering what the projected ETA of this fix is. We seem to hit
this bug a lot and I don't mind to role my own packages, but it would be
a pitty if the fix lands in Debian right after I did that.

Dear Maintainer,
Would it by any chance be possible to apply the patch by Philipp before
Wheezy gets released? It would be nice to have a usable kexec-tools
package.

I've made a test setup with the default debian proftpd setup and tried
