Hello,
let's considere the classical git repo for a git package and its branches:

if i run `mr update` it will only update the current branch, while it would be

Hello,
iI think there are several issues with slingshot:
- python2-only package
- upstream dormant since 8+ years
- no updates on https://github.com/ryanakca/slingshot/issues/9 since Aug 9
if I dont hear back within a week with a good reason to keep this
Hey Andreas,
upstream is porting this application to python3 at
https://gitlab.com/pyspread/pyspread and they just released an alpha
version for it. Since pyspread is no longer in testing, then maybe you
can consider package this version for unstable? this will unlock
several python2 modules

Hello,
i believe there are several issues with cherrytree:
- python2-only application
- depends on pygtk, deprecated
- depends on gtksourceview, deprecated
- upstream is rewriting it in C++, so there's no hope for a py3k port
i think it's time to remove it

Hey Gordon,
can i ask you why you split this package in 2? there are exactly 0
reverse dependencies (as in `dak rm -Rn -b -b python-ipykernel`) of
python-ipykernel in the archive, so is it really necessary to keep the
py2 version around? at all?
thanks,

control: tags -1 -patch
raising the severity to serious as ipykernel now FTBFS since python3.8
is supported in debian.
Upstream merged this pr: https://github.com/ipython/ipykernel/pull/408
but i think we should upgrade to 5.1.3, since it contains the

Hello,
it looks like pysparse is no longer fit to remain in debian:
* python2 only
* no upstream release in 8+ years
* python3-sparse exists, as a possible alternative?
If i dont hear back within a week with a good reason to keep this package, i
will file for
tests are failing when building the updated package in git,

this package was a dependency of checkgmail, which was recently removed; no
other rdep nor upstream releases, so lets just remove it.

that's because the checklist is in the "Other system information"
section, arguably pretty hard to notice. Another GTK+ UI bug..

you can considere the GTK+ UI effectively orphaned; if someone wants
to step up and maintainer, we'd welcome that, otherwise only extremely
minimal fixes will be provided.
