since I last did that, so I'm not sure if rsync got upgraded at the time. Then I noticed that there was a new version in Unstable: 2.6.4-1. After installing this one, the problem went away. Note that I only upgraded rsync on the 'pulling server', where I start the proces. -- Serge van
