Please close this bug, my apologies. It has been flagged upstream and
the maintainer states that it is a bug in xorg-server:
https://bitbucket.org/portix/dwb/issue/377/cant-write-address-or-other-multikey
For reference, it only appears to affect users of the Awesome WM (like me), and

Fixed - appears bug was in libwebkitgtk-3.0-0 and not in dwb,
apologies. As Nathan suggested, upgrade of libwebkitgtk-3.0-0 to
2.4.1-2 fixed the problem.

I removed it as per that 4.6 fix. Have put it back both

Er, not sure how to respond. Could you give me an idea of what kind of
information would be useful? I don't know much about XFCE's design, so
have no clue what to look for. As said the history of the problem is as

Hi, just to add that I just upgraded to 4.8.0.3, and the problem
persists. Also, to clarify: I am submitting this bug to you all in
Debian because, from that XFCE bug report, it appears that this was
supposedly fixed upstream. So it seems like it might be a Debian
problem.
And, finally, thank yo
I can add that I managed to get it working again by inserting a space
before all invocations of "${goto }". I am leaving the bug
open though as this crash happened suddenly, independent of any change
in the .conkyrc, and it had been working fine prior to this without
the space.
Thanks again

No, it is a local dovecot imap server. However, the server is

Thanks a lot for all your help, Daniel, and apologies if this has been
a waste of time.

Nope, the same error occurred again. I had a spare 2GB drive lying
