So i suppose snoopy should conflict with systemd then or maybe present a
warning label when it is about to be enabled on a systemd (as opposed to
systemd-sysv) booted system.

version is 0.57.

Tobias Klausmann from the gentoo project found this little bugger, at
least it works for me now on the same machine and kernel that previously
showed the aforementioned malloc memory corruption messages.

taking too long - is the same thing a collegue had with his gentoo
