pkg-config, so the original code (which needs the original paths to
exist) still runs as fallback. Besides, I'd rather be conservative
here; there is plenty of NumPy code out there, and scientist
learer.
The latest master HEAD in the Salsa repository has a proposed split
that seems reasonably sane to me. Can you verify that it is working
as you intended?
