The root cause of this is a bug in boost.thread (#701377). Since this bug has
been fixed, libavg should build again as well.

Yes, the debian libavg package is outdated, buggy and unused. There's an
up-to-date Ubuntu package, however. This package is stable and being used
(according to Ubuntu popcon).
