PowerTOP does not shows the power usage on my machine. The problem is

I've just done dist-upgrade Debian Wheezy and got same problem with 7.3.315.
Tested with both WMFS and i3. After gvim crashes, each mouse click on
the terminal which lauched gvim prints garbage characters.
