Debian Bullseye, fully up to date.
After an unattended upgrade on 10 July 2022, the system started locking
up multiple times per day. This machine is a small office server,
including mail, web, database, etc. services and serving files f
ortal were installed on
those systems AFAIK).
I haven't been able to find anything relevant, except for this bug
report. Happy to perform a few tests or provide more information.

I can confirm both the issue and the workaround.
Online sources seem to indicate that one can write an AppArmor profile
for any daemon... I'm more than happy to contribute by testing and get
this one solved.

I can confirm this behaviour is still buggy in version 0.9.6-2 (current
debian stretch repo). So far I have switched to systemd backends for
sshd and postfix on my machine, and I had to make the following
changes:
replace
journalmatch = _SYSTEMD_UNIT=sshd.service + _COMM=sshd
with
journalmatch
Hi,
Using version 2.04-2 (Debian stable), I get moren and more error message
referring to unicharset.cpp:76.
The Tesseract-ocr-bugtracker states that this problem is solved in v3:
