Bug#395015: openafs-krb5: kinit + aklog succeeds but the /afs access does not work (works with afslog from heimdal-clients)

2006-10-27 Thread vladimir konrad
Make sure your openafs kernel module and openafs-client package are both upgraded to 1.4.2-2 one of the things i noticed, in our kerberos database there is a principal afs@kerberos-realm but no principal afs/domain@kerberos-realm. also, the aklog produces different log entries on the krb5kdc:

Bug#395015: solved

2006-10-27 Thread vladimir konrad
as i said, the aklog -524 works. i have also changed the libpam-openafs-session source to do this so pam works with our set-up... i could make the pam_openafs_session.so to take extra parameter (e.g. 524) to do the aklog -524 if there is interest in this (the change would be trivial)... vlad

Package: openafs-krb5 Version: 1.4.2~fc4-3 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable doing a test configuration of debian etch, i found that openafs-krb5:aklog does something wrong (this is using debian etch as client and debian woody as kerberos and openafs server). the kinit +

Bug#309448: OpenAFS 1.3.81, SMP kernel, make-kpkg

2005-05-24 Thread Vladimir Konrad
Okay, I understand what's going on now. Thank you very much for letting me have temporary access to the system; that helped a great deal in tracking down the problem. You are welcome. The workaround (and the reason why this isn't RC for sarge) is to build your kernel with CONFIG_MODVERSIONS

Bug#309448: OpenAFS 1.3.81, SMP kernel, make-kpkg

2005-05-19 Thread Vladimir Konrad
It shouldn't matter what kernel you're running. It should only matter what kernel source tree you ran make-kpkg from inside. You need to run make-kpkg from inside a kernel source tree that's identically configured to the kernel that you're running. This makes sense, and it is the case...

Thank you for your reply. I did not know that I am supposed to build the module while running the SMP kernel. Tried that and still no luck using make-kpkg... Regards, Vladimir -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Bug#309448: OpenAFS 1.3.81 does not work with SMP kernel when using make-kpkg

2005-05-17 Thread Vladimir Konrad
Package: openafs-modules-source Version: 1.3.81 Distro: Testing/Sarge (up to date as of 2005-05-15) Kernel version: 2.4.30 When building OpenAFS modules for SMP kernel (2 processors) using make-kpkg modules_image, the package gets built but none of the module(s) (openafs.o and openafs.mp.o) work
