Thanks for clarifying. I was unaware that the regexp functionality was added
after 1.6.9.
After various testing, I have determined the issue is with libldap.
If a wheezy system is upgraded to the backports version
2.4.31+really2.4.40+dfsg-1~bpo70+1 it starts to exhibit the behaviour.
And if a jessie system is downgraded to 2.4.31-2 it stops exhibiting
the issue.

Dear Maintainer,
Tried compiling FreeSWITCH with latest clang-3.5 and ended up with clang
segfaulting while trying to compile libsofia. I will attach the files required
to replicate the issue.

Dear Maintainer
I'm running from the command line using 'gnubg -tq'. The
command 'end game' crashes the program with the message
'Segmentation fault'.
This bug has been submitted to
https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?42755 and the response was
want to be rude but all the previous packages requests for php
ended up with the same kind of question/answers; I also find weird to
get patch validations from people who don't read/use php source code
regularly.

Hello,
Looking at the patch, the backport seems very easy; is it something we
can consider?

Okay I was able to do it without fork. This one been tested on Arch Linux
and Ubuntu. It's simpler I think and also won't give the bind error. It's
below and attached.
