Package: nsd3
Version: 3.2.5-1
Severity: normal

The nsd3 postrm script removes the nsd user before running
dpkg-statoverride --remove. This causes the dpkg-statoverride
--remove to fail and leave the nsd lines in /var/lib/dpkg/statoverride
causing subsequent calls to dpkg-statoverride to fail.

When run manually the error is:

# dpkg-statoverride --remove /var/lib/nsd3
dpkg-statoverride: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting:
syntax error: unknown user 'nsd' in statoverride file

Maybe the remove call should be run before removing the user?
