Just experienced the same problem on a Thinkpad T14 Gen1 AMD.
I found a way to get my sound back using the following commands:
sudo modprobe -r snd_rn_pci_acp3x
systemctl --user restart pulseaudio
sudo modprobe snd_rn_pci_acp3x

I have 2 computers with nearly the same conf in jessie. One is displaying the
fonts OK, the other has no font displayed. The main difference is one is using
the nvidia driver.
In my x11.cfg I have:

medium=-*-helvetica-bold-r-*-*-18-*-*
