Unfortunately it's not fixed. Looks like the probability of a freeze is
just lower :-(
Turns out this issue is already fixed in the 6.4.4-3~bpo12+1 version
available in bookworm-backports \o/
Today I switched to an Xorg-based GNOME session, and found out that
invoking `xset dpms force off` also results in the system freezing.
Interestingly, the system was responsive via ssh for another couple seconds
or so.
So I think this regression must be related to the kernel version change
more
, does not exhibit this issue.
I'd be happy to try and isolate/debug this issue further, but I don't
know where to start. Hints most welcome.

I work on getting OpenStack working on AArch64 (arm64) architecture.
Using Debian 'buster' as main development platform.
The problem is "confluent-kafka" Python package. For x86 arch it is easy
as wheel is provided on Pypi.org website. But

7530. I'm afraid after yesterday's partial reinstallation of the system

At first this system was Ubuntu 13.04, then 13.10, 14.04 and 16.04
version. Yesterday I upgraded it to Debian 10 with just APT/Aptitude.

Hi I just want to add that at the moment Stretch current stable has this broken
to the point that neither openjdk nor ca-certificates-java packages can be
installed making all java dependant apps useless.
It's due to ca-certificates-java
