When I try to resize a lvm partition with:
btrfsctl -r max /dev/t61/root
I get:
ioctl:: Inappropriate ioctl for device
/dev/t61/root has been extended to 1G with:
lvextend /dev/t61/ro
instead
fans keep spinning like wild and log files growing.

As always, I did not debug far enough. It turns out that the problem lay in
nicklist.pl script. When this script is loaded, long links break, when it is
unloaded, they don't. Also tried nicklist 0.4.6+ from svn - no good.
