Michael, The -gui package is really there for dependancy management. Users do install hplip on a headless print server and don't want the gui dependances pulled in -qt3. If they want the full gui interface. The -gui package ensures the depends and menu entries are correct. Mark -original

Bug#401660: NMU of exiv2

Peter, I am going to upload a NMU of exiv to clear this bug. I would prefer to share maintainership of this package as the number of NMU's is a bit silly. If you don't have the time to maintain I understand, but we can't leave the package and packages which depend on it in such a poor state.
